IWS Family Health, a community health center providing preventive health care services to children and families, seeks a Patient Support Specialist to provide superior customer service to the growing Dental practice in our Logan Square headquarters.
Reporting to the Patient Support Supervisor, this position acts as a liaison between patients, providers, and staff members by providing prompt and professional service.

The salary range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience. Reporting to the Patient Support Supervisor, this position acts as a liaison between patients, providers, and staff members by providing prompt and professional service.
What you will do:
- Register patients in EMR system upon arrival for scheduled appointments in the clinic
- Verify and update patient information and insurance
- Complete patient financial application, update and scan all documentation into the patient’s chart
- Complete a financial assessment on each patient to qualify them for program assistance
- Generate MPE, ABE applications
- Assist patients in PCP changes or update enrollment in the MCO programs
- Assist patients with the patient portal sign-up when needed
- Make follow-up appointments for patients
- Cancel, call, and reschedule all no-show appointments
- Make patient reminder calls and update any changes
- Close and post encounters and batches daily
- Collect payments due at time of visit
- Ensure daily supplies are ordered as needed
What you will bring:
At a minimum
- High school diploma
- Three years of experience in a dental practice
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish
We are hoping for a College degree
